What’s in Season for FALL/WINTER
Posted on November 16, 2009
Make no mistake you haven’t entered the boutique you are still in the Zen Room. Achieving full happiness doesn’t only have to deal with the mental aspect of life; it also deals with the physical.
Growing up my mother never really had “snacks” in the house such as cookies and candy… McDonalds only happened on Sunday morning before going to church and we had a plethora of fresh fruit through out the day and vegetables EVERY night with dinner. The only weakness as far as ‘junk’ was when my father would bring home the famous Snicker bar every once and a while.
As an adult I’ve learned to maintain my mother’s flair for healthy food through out the day. While many of the ladies in the office binge on peanut M&M’s, various chocolate bars, cookies, cakes and so on I prefer to indulge in grapes, black berries, raspberries, granny smith apples (accompanied by peanut butter), and strawberries. Don’t get me wrong mini snickers and bite size Reese’s peanut butter cups are still amongst my favorites treats but I’d prefer to dig into a ripe juice mango or peach any day.
However lately I’ve noticed fruits during this fall season haven’t been good at all!! The taste is either bland or they go from unripe directly to over ripe almost immediately. Over hearing many others have the same complaint I’ve decided to look up natures candies in season for the FALL and WINTER months. Help me indulge in this great find:
